The TM Repository is a single database that contains all your translation memory entries. When you start a translation job, its parameters are used to extract the relevant segments – only the relevant ones – from the database. When the translation is done, the original entries are updated and new entries are added. It is always possible to revise the entries previously added or changed during a specific job, but at the same time you get leverage from all your translation units.

Classify your assets – as you want

No matter whether you are a manufacturer or a service provider, you can always define a classification system for your resources.

• You can classify your TM entries according to your product lines, products, clients, document types, the status of approval or any custom classification – you name it.
• You can filter all entries according to your needs.
• You can change the classification system and the TM Repository will automatically re-classify all entries, only asking manual confirmation for ambiguities.

Matrix-based translation

Have you got a translation unit translated from English into Japanese and the same unit translated from English into German? Or a Japanese string translated into English, then the English into German?

Using the TM Repository, you can build a Japanese into German translation memory from these entries and you can even flag them.

Works with any client or server-based translation environment tool

The TM Repository is built on the TMX standard and works with any translation tool.

The TM Repository creates TMX files that you can import into your client or server-based translation tools and you can update the repository if you feed in the new TMX file.

We paid a lot of attention to details and made sure that the classification information does not get lost while translators translate in the tool of their choice. If the translation tool changes the descriptive data of translation units, the TM Repository can repair all units before updating.

Formatting markup is not a problem either, as the TM Repository keeps it in the original format to ensure perfect TM hits.

Integrates with any workflow

Through its set of web service APIs you can automate the TM Repository operations. No matter what workflow tool you use, integration is quick and easy. Database maintenance and security is also easy as the TM Repository uses commercially available database platforms.
